Are you coming to get our avocados or can we bring them?
Avocado Tanzania has its own warehouse and packing line.
As soon as the harvest season starts, trucks drive back and forth to the warehouse where we clean the avocados with love and sort them by weight.
We then pack our avocados in our own 4 kilo boxes and transport them on Wednesdays in refrigerated trucks on pallets to the port of Mombassa.
From the port of Mombassa, the avocados go into refrigerated containers and make a 3-week journey to the port of Rotterdam.
Besides avocados our transport partner and forwarder TanChin has lots of experience with transporting other goods.
In 20 years, more than 21,000 containers have been shipped with cashew nuts, coffee beans, peanuts, almonds, chickpeas, soybeans and so on.
